Hi, I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate x86 32-bit edition and have strange internet problem.

The problem is, when I turn on my modem and my modem is on ready state (4-lamps on, PPP-PWR-DSL-ETH/ACT), vista can not connect to the internet, it says "Connected to network (local only)", and I have to right click the icon, then choose diagnose and repair and choose "Reset LAN adapter", and then for a moment, vista can connect to the internet.

My modem is Allied Telesyn AT-AR236E

In previous version of windows there is no such problem, why in vista I always have to do "Diagnose and Repair -> Reset LAN adapter" to connect to the internet?

I'm sure there is no malwares, virus, or that kind of threats, and also my ISP is fine and my modem is working. So the problem should be in Vista configuration or setting that I didn't know.

Does anyone has solution for this problem?

    Thanks in advance.
