vista microsoft office

    ok so i got a new acerlaptop its vista basic

    1. was i supposed to get vista discs with it with a code on it so microsoft and all the other programs work?

    2. im at a uni and my compuer wont let me use msn i dpwnloaded the new one and it stil doesnt work i addedthe proxy into it and it doesnt work keeps coming up ith an errorcan anyonehelp?

    i know nothing bout vista i hate it.... can anyone help?

    You generally get an OEM key pasted on the bottom of your laptop. You do not always get the Media disk ( unless you order it ).
    Other programs should run just fine as long as they are vista compatible !

    Could it be a possibility that your uni has blocked chat clients like msn etc ?
    also what is the error that you get ??

    also i have a product key is that whatyou man cause it doesnt work it says it is wrong and its theonly code n the bottom of my comp

    I do not understand, there should be a serial key on the bottom of the laptop that is the key for your VISTA !

    As far as msn messenger is concerned, you could try uninstalling and then re-installing msn messenger!
    You could also go to www.meebo.com and sign into msn from there !
