Hello. Newbie here but I've read through some topics similar to my problems.

Whenever I'm on the computer, the internet would work for a bit then all the sudden stop. I still see byte transfers when I view that status of my connection but can't view pages or anything.

I have Vista SP1 using Belkin N wireless router and adapter.

I've set Vista not to turn off my adapter for power savings,, installed all the updates for Vista, updated the drivers and it would still cut out. Usually when it does disabling the adapter and reenabling it would work for a bit.

Other computers connected to the router wireless have no problems.

Please help. I was so happy I got a new computer but this is damping my spirits!

Make sure you have the latest adapter driver and router firmware. Reset the router to factory default settings and reconfigure it.

Check for wireless interference. Or, at least try different channels (e.g., 1, 6 and 11 in North America).
