Vista Security

    With all the new claims of Vista security being very very impressive i'm left wondering if this means that an anti-virus and anti-spyware is still needed.

    On XP i currently run antivir (constantly) and then spybot/adaware (weekly/monthly) and I have had no virus or spyware problems for over a year and a half. Will I still need these programmes with Vista or is the OS security good enough already.

    Yes, both are still required. FWIW, Vista comes with Windows Defender as part of the base installation, however no AV is supplied. I still use AdAware. :)
