Ok, I have the correct drivers and the monitor is running at 60hz, but every time the computer wakes up it re-sizes the the screen to low resolution from high and doesn't let me change it back unless I reboot. I have 4G of ram and set the virtual memory up. there's no graphics card, but the main board runs clips fine on high res once its rebooted. Anyone have any ideas?

Standby and hibernation modes are not always compatible with desktop hardware, the drivers in particular are often not optimised.

Out of the last 10 desktops, only two have shown no detrimental effects. The mode is designed for laptops which I have always had sucess with.

Assuming you have a desktop, you may have to experiment with video driver versions if they are available, or just dont use the stanby option.

Ok, I'm running a desk top. I guess I just need to kick around the aps and hopefully, discover a conflict.
