I have a new USB / Firewire enclousre that i am haveing real probelms getting Vista to recognize. The enclosure will accept any PATA drive & should connect without drivers to either a 1394 firewire port or a USB port. According to other message boards there are some issues with 1394 for drives over 120 gb -- mine is 160.

So USB -- I have checked the maker's site -- no help there. I have looked around through the archives here and found that others seem to be having the same problem, but I have not found a soultion that would work.

    Any suggestions?
