i just got a new vista laptop today and am thinking of a way to transfer around 20 gigs of pictures, music, etc. In xp I moved over all my stuff into the shared folder, but am trying to figure out how to access it all from my vista machine. I went in to add a network, but it only wants to add a poppee or w/e network where I need to log in. How exactly do i set it up so I can access my shares? In vista i simply add a workgroup? I connect from my dsl modem through ethernet over powerline thing into a hub which is here in my room with my laptop. I spent $100+ on the ethernet over powerline stuff. Any help appreciated.
