Anyone know any good Internet tutorial sites for beginning & advanced VB? Also, where do I get the actual program with which to write it?

Most of it's click and drag.. You'll need a copy of microsoft visual studio.

There are free sites with lessons.. Here's one http://www.free-ed.net/fr03/lfc/030202/120/ , but before you visit it turn on your pop-up stopper. It's loaded with pop-ups.

I don't know but can the Visual Basic Editor that is used by MS Office 2000 applications be used?

MS Office applications use VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and not VB. There is quite a bit of difference in both. May be initially it can be used, but will become more and more inconvenient once you learn more and more. Also, one day you would need more power and then will not find that there. But you can surely start with it.
