Every time I go online to a Web site with merchandise or services, I get a popup called Visual Shopper that is driving me batty. I can click on the X and it goes away, until I change anything or go to another page, and it's back again. How can I get rid of it? Where did it come from? Is it an add on?

Yes, it is an add-on (or extension) Do you have Comcast by any chance? It seems to be coming from software called Constant Guard Protection Suite.

What web browser do you currently use?

I do have Comcast & Constant Guard Protection, which is a pain. Thanks for confirming my suspicion. Perhaps I can extract it without removing the protection element. I use Internet Explorer 11.

Comcast changed the name of their program in December 2014 to Fast Connect, and it does include Visual Shopper. I called & asked how to remove Visual Shopper, and was told it was an integral part of the program, so now I have uninstalled Fast Connect. Visual Shopper is gone. Hurray!
