I have a friend (No really, it's not me) that has a sibling that is visually impaired. He is looking for some software that will help her to be able to use the computer. Does anyone have a recommendation? I've seen some, but the prices were outrageous. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, most the good products cost alot of money. I worked for a school district and we purchased Zoom Text Magnifier/Reader. I know it is alot of money but it was well worth it for some of the visually impaired students. Our Help Desk person's daughter was visually impaired and it was a godsend for her. I was totally impressed with what it did which is why we got it. It was well worth the money.

I used to work with a blind guy (I'd say about 90% blind), who did helpdesk support in a call center. He used the JAWS program and it worked out for him.
