I recently purchased a Vivitar DSC350 camera from a local walmart store. I installed the Arcsoft Photoimpression Application software on my computer.
However when I try to install the camera driver as per the instructions for Windows 98 Second Edition I get the following error message.
"Device conflict detected with your Adaptec CDROM Software. The installation will be terminated. Please go to Adaptec Website at (http://askroxio.com) and update the latest CDROM Software before installing this camera."
I went to the roxio website and found that I cannot recieve tech support from them as I recieved their software in a bundle package with a CD Rewriter. They suggested I contact the camera manufacture.
Can you help me with this. I tried downloading the driver on the website but was unable to open the file. I'm not sure why this didn't work.
On step 5 in the instruction booklet for the camera it says to open setup.exe file and my file only says setup. It is in the same position however. Could this be the problem? If so how do I correct it?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Hi - welcome to TSG.

Download WinZip if you don’t have a zip program on your computer: http://download.com.com/3000-2250-8132587.html?tag=pop The evaluation lasts forever. I’m guessing the download might be zipped without a self extractor.

You likely just don’t have your computer set to display known file extensions. The setup file is the right one if it attempts the setup.
