    Hi. I was trying to restore my computer due to some problems. I have an hp, windows me. I used my restore disc 1 and 2. before disc two was completely done i got a warning message. Now when i try to boot my computer i get VMM32.vxd is requried to run windows. if this file is not in your path you may need to reinstall windows. The problem is windows is on my restore disc. i can,t start in safe mode or anywhere. On the black screen with the error i get a C:\ prompt but I don't hAVE A CLUE WHAT TO DO. dOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS. Thanks for any help

    Try scanregw /restore

    Change your boot sequence in the bios so that your disk drive is before your CD drive.
