HELP! I am trying to install a Vodafone Mobile Broadband unit onto my laptop, I am running XP (I think SP2) and I keep on getting an error message stating that Administrative Privelleges are required - I am the only user and have, or so I thought, full administrative rights! The laptop has never previously been connected to the internet so I don't see that there would be any malware / trojans stopping me from doing this. Can anyone help me!?
srg,
welcome to tech support guy,
.
if your system was set up correctly, you SHOULD be using a user account, for the security that the nt systems provide,
thus, you just log off of your user account, then log back in as the administrator to install something,
then, DON'T forget to log off as the administrator and then back onto the user account
