Cable modem connected to a Linksys RT31P2 for VOIP from ATT. One Windows ME system connected via Ethernet. How do I connect a Linksys WAP54G to the RT31P2 to have wireless access from a laptop? All help appreciated.

Thats an access point right? I would just connect it to an ethernet port on the back of the router. Then view available wireless networks on your laptop. You should see a SSID named Linksys. Connect to that one. I am pretty sure that the AP is plug n play. Setting up security is another story. You will have to log on to the AP and do that.

That's what I thought. I will be trying Friday. As far as security, not a problem, have done it so many times I could do that part in my sleep.
