volume indicator missing

    i have a packard bell (easynote tj74) and a volume indicator popped up on the screen when you ajusted the volume but it has gone
    how do i get it back?
    p.s i don't mean the volume icon in the taskbar

    Did you recently reinstall Windows? I've had that happen when upgrading, and the drivers for those shortcut keys need to be reinstalled as well.

    I bought the laptop with windows 7 already installed but i could reinstall the drivers and see if that fixes it

    I'm not sure of what icon you're talking about if you don't mean the one in the taskbar. What icon are you talking about?

    It's the icon on the laptop ---- the volume up/down buttons ;) at the top of the keyboard.
