I tried to format a 640 g portable hard drive on a desktop with xp. I need to drive to wok on mac and windows. When I formatted the drive, the response was Volume Too Large. How do I format it to Fat 32?

    From a prompt I typed:

    format h:/fs:fat32

How else can I format the portable drive?
