VPN question

I have Securenet VPN (Avast) and I thought my IP address would be protected. However Nordvpn can see my address even after I change my site.
I thought my address would not be visible but if NordVPN can see it then others can see it too.
Is this the way VPN works?

I kinda doubt that you are using a proxy service to access another proxy service. But if you are, the first one is not really working.

You probably could benefit by reading the sticky thread at the top of this forum: What is a VPN and do I Need One?
