    Hi!

I am using “Paragon Backup and Recovery 10 Suite” running under “Windows XP (SP3).”

When I try to backup the C: drive, I get the following error:

VSS technology has failed with error: 0x11112 (VSS specific error).

What does it mean? How can I tell if the VSS is running?

FYI, before Paragon, I tried to use Norton’s Ghost and, because of malfunctions, I stopped using it and removed it from the computer. Does this make a difference?

    Thank you.

    Dr. T.

I don't know if Norton Ghost is as complicated as Norton antivirus to uninstall but if you have leftovers on your computer, they might interfere.

Did you run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall Ghost?

I can look for leftovers from your Norton Ghost removal if you post a HijackThis log for me:

Please click HERE to download and install HijackThis.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    IMPORTANT: Do not fix anything
