So I have an infection of Vundo... at least. Tried cleaning with Symantec AV in safemode and followed their instructions to delete the registry keys at the bottom of that link. I thought I was getting somewhere but this little red X is a persistent little [email protected]#$%. [IMG]

The desktop settings are locked down so I can't change that wallpaper and that little red X pops up a bubble message every few minutes. For all I know Vundo is gone already, subsequent full scans w/ Symantec AV reported nothing, and some program remains that's causing me this grief. All webpage requests are redirected to 7search or some other BS, task manager & registry edit are disabled on reboot.

I think I may have killed the witch. I deleted some suspicious entries in Hijackthis, conducted a few more spybot scans and finally a malwarebytes scan to stick a fork in it. I would appreciate it if someone could look over my HJT log and let me know if I'm fully clean, though. My knowledge of this sort of thing is rather limited:
