I set up a computer for a student of mine and had to change the mouse and keyboard. now I get a message on the black screen (during loading) that the "vxd is missing" or something like that; that the one originally there is not found, etc, etc. I have had problems like this before but don't remember the solution. How can I get rid of that message? is it in autoexec.bat or another area where I can rem it out? I wish I could be more specific, but the computer is not at my house and I want to get some help before I go back to the student's house.

What's the name of the file it's missing? Simply deleting the entry that loads it is not a good solution as it might be an essential windows file.
