Just an update, I have turned off system restore and am scanning at housecall right now. I don't think there is anything in HiJack this that is out of line, but...
I will also run Norton again when I am done at housecall. The virus was found in C\documents and settings\local\temporary internet files. I dumped all temps, cleared history etc.
I don't think it ever got activated on the machine, I run adwatch all the time along with spyware blaster and have immunized with spybot. I really don't know how long this thing has been setting on the machine. I had left norton and was trying out nod32 for awhile. Nothing against nod32, but the piggish Norton has become so familiar that I have gone back. I just couldn't seem to figure Nod32 out. Duh!
Anyway, I reinstalled Norton and it was found on the post install scan. Thanks folks. Scott

Thanks $teve. Nothing found at housecall either. I guess I can turn restore back on. :)
