I know that everyone has heard and helped someone with this spybot.worm. I just got it about 3 days ago. My norton keeps detecting it and deleting it. I have tried everything to get rid of it. Looked for files in and out of my comp and found nothing. Dont know what do anymore. I have though of kicking my comp a few times as a last resort but will have to wait on that. Any hits, suggestions, answers, pleaz reply.

May the worm also speard through a home network?

    Thanx!:D

Symantec has a very complete write up on this worm that can be foud by clicking here. The trick is to turn off system restore, restart your computer in Safe mode, then run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as W32.Spybot.Worm. Up until know you've deleted it, but not pulled it out by it's roots.

There are better details at the page ...look for "Removal Instructions".

I do believe it can spread through a home network.

Thank you for your reply BillC. I tried the "Removal Instructions" from the Symantec site but when the full system scan was over it came out with nothing. Earlier in the day I ran the HouseCall from Trend Micro and only found a virus from mIRC.

Don't know what to do now since i can't find the source of the problem.

Anybody know whats going on pleaz reply!

    Thanx in advace:D
