    Hi All,

I need to change my domain controller to sync with an outside time source. I looked up the following article which appears to be detailed enough to follow.

    http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Configuring-Windows-Time-Service.html

Unfortunately I came accross a problem from the start. The first step found under the heading 'Synching to an External Time Source' says to change the registry setting 'HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters\Type'. It says the 'Type' should be of type 'REG_SZ' but on my server it is of type 'REG_DWORD'. What should I do?

    Dannt

Thanks for the doc, however, I couldnt see how to get my domain controler to sync its time with a reliable outside source. I must have missed something.

As kerbose uses the time as part of the security when logining into the network, if i were to update the server time would that cause any problems for people trying to log on if the change was by a few mins?
