    Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.4
    OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64 bit
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9
    Processor Count: 8
    RAM: 10197 Mb
    Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7570, 1024 Mb
    Hard Drives: C: 911 GB (836 GB Free); D: 19 GB (2 GB Free);
    Motherboard: PEGATRON CORPORATION, 2AD5
    Antivirus: Windows Defender, Disabled

    This computer (see specs above) has 6 usb 2.0 ports but not a 3.0 port. My local Costco is selling USB 3.0 Flash Drives for $35.00. I realize the 3.0 flash drive is backward compatible so it would run but only at 2.0 speeds (or the speed of the port). Is there someway to add an external USB 3.0 capability so the 3.0 would run at the full 3.0 speed? USB 3.0 runs 10 times faster than 2.0 so that's why I ask and would like to have the 3.0 speed.

    I'm guessing that I would have to open the case in install a USB 3.0 PCI-e expansion card. I hope there is a easier way?

    Thanks billmcct! Have you installed a card like this before. The physical installation of the card doesn't bother me but getting it to actually work does. Is there software or drivers that will need to be installed to get it to work, do you know?

    Hey Gr3iz - I just checked the rear panel and it's just like you said, I have 2 blue USB 3.0 ports. That makes things a lot easier - just pop in the 3.0 flash drive and I should be good to go. Thanks a ton :cool:
