    I want to completey format my harddrive on my hp pavilion. I can't stand this hp version of winxp. I also want to put a duel boot for linux as well. If I completey format the hard drive, how will i get all the drivers back for the video card, sound card, cd burner, etc., or will windows just recognize it?

    thanks;

    Not sure about setting it up for dual boot with Linux but I suggest you go to HP's website, lookup your system, and download any drivers they have onto a CD first.
