Water Damage on Windows 10 Laptop

My water bottle spilled on my desk and got water all over my laptop. I don’t know how long the water was there because it spilled while I wasn’t there and was probably there for a while. When I found my laptop, I tried turning it on but it wouldn’t turn on so I took out the battery, dried it out with a blowdryer and put it it a tray of rice to get the water out. Since I tried turning it on, would that have damaged my laptop further? How do I fix my laptop? I have a Windows 10 Lenovo G70 with intel core i3.

Hi, turning it on while still covered with water inside and out, was not your best move.
I'd wait a few days and see it the rice will draw out most of the water.
If there are access screws on the back to remove the hard drive, etc, - remove what you can to help it dry out.
