I spilled water on my Dell Notebook and now most of the keys in the bottom row don't work at all, including the space bar. Can it be repaired? I dried it very well, setting it in the sun...

Do I just need to get an external keyboard or a new computer?

    Thanks:)

I would take it somewhere and have it looked at and see what damage has been done to it.depending on how bad it is it may or may not be able to be fixed.it might just need the keyboard replaced or it might need a new motherboard.

Between spilling water inside that laptop and then baking it in the sun, I don't give it much hope.

A reliable computer repair shop may be able to salvage it for you, but it may not be worth the repair cost, depending on how old it is and what it's worth.

Thanks. I'm sticking with the external keyboard for now. I could buy some insurance and then send in a claim. Probably I won't.
