On a Windows 2000 Professional Machine running service pack 4.
After tracing down the driver causing the 0x00000076 STOP errors, it is wdmaud.sys
To replace this driver, is it just as simple as copying an updated copy of it to the c:\winnt\system32\drivers directory?
Will the driver from Windows XP service pack 2 work on Windows 2000 Professional? or where would I be able to get the lastest WDMAUD.SYS driver for Windows 2000?
Thanks...
Gary
