We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent harware or software change might have caused this.

Start in safe mode.
Safe mode with networking.
Safe mode with command prompt.
Last known good configuration setting (most recent setting that worked).
Start Windows normally.

I get this every time I start my computer. Any clues?
I start it in normal mode and everything seems to be working fine but when I restart or turn off and turn back on I get this black screen with the error.

what you need to do is run the CHKDSK /F command from windows or from the recovery console

Yeah I was just coming back to post that and you beat me to it. Don't know why I didn't post that first. Keep it simple stupid.
