My dell inspiron 1520 has internet access but will not load the web page on google chrome or ie.. I use windows 7 home premium.. I tried the ipconfig release, flushdns, and renew and nothing.. I don't know if this is important but when I did the ipconfig all the media is disconnected.. Also my wireless network connection status says ipv4 has internet and ipv6 no newtwork access if that means anything... Other devices connect fine and this only happens here at home... my laptop connects in other places fine... This just happened out of the blue.. Also when I turn it off then on the internet access goes away and I don't get internet access status unless I do the ipconfig release thing.. I am not computer savvy but I can depend my self pretty well so if you can help please I would appreciate it...

Open a (black) Command Prompt window:
Hold the Windows logo key and press r; in the Run box type cmd and click on OK.

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

So, now you don't get internet access at all on that PC?

On what connection do you get the "Media disconnected"? All the time, or does it work sometimes?

The laptop says it has Internet access but I can't get on the web cause they won't load.. Now the Internet access status on the bottom right hand corner, where u check all the wifi connections, I only get that Internet access after I do ipconcig/release, flushdns, renew.. Otherwise I wouldn't get Internet access and the yellow triangle appears saying no Internet access..

I have a Verizon modem no Ethernet cables just cable wire to the router.. I connect my ps3 and tablet from the network and my laptop which is now not working... I saw the media disconnected when I ran the ipconcig/all on the laptop...

I really hope I answered ur question and u have a better understanding of what I'm going through.. Oh and I don't have any other computer.. I just been using my iPhone or tablet to get on the web. But I would really like for my laptop to get on the web...

    Try an ethernet connection.

If you get internet access that way then show the ipconfig /all plus ...

Please attach a screen shot of the Networks page (don't collapse the Radar, Connection or Signal History) of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector. If you need help with that see TSG Posting a Screenshot. FWIW to take screen shots with Windows 8 or 7 or Vista I prefer to use the built-in Snipping Tool.
