Is it true that only Win XP professional aloows u to configure ur machine as a Web Server?
My OS its WIn XP Home edition.

You can if you use something other than IIS. I believe you can install Apache on XP Home.

Isnt Apache unix based?

They do make a Windows version of Apache also. The reason why you can't create a web server with XP HOME is because that OS doesn't come with Internet Information Services (IIS). So you can either upgrade to Professional, which does come with IIS, or you can use Apache.
