Webcam Driver problems

Hi,
I've just bought this webcam from amazon, Link and unfortunately like alot of the people who wrote reviews, the software on the CD is corrupt.

one person solved this problem and got the webcam working by finding software on the Internet that made it work, can anyone help me find any suitable software!?

It was 85 pence xD? Anyway, reviewers seem to be saying there came a note with it or something, which told you to go to a certain website.

Unfortunately mine didn't come with a note
just an "instruction" booklet

Any more detailed (or otherwise) information on the manufacturer? Maybe something on the CD?

What is the exact name of the driver installer on the CD?

The manufacturer is "greymobiles" as far as i know
it was sold throw amazon

the CD is a mini compact disk, which someone has burned 4 files too:

all the files came up with error messages

The fourth is corrupted, just from the icon.

The first two came up with this

the third came up with:

"the installation package could not be opened, contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid windows installer package"

the third came up with:
"error reading setup installation file"

Anyway, seems like a very general Error message >.<
What's exactly in the manual? Nothing about the cd with the software? Anything about the difference between the "white" versions and the normal ones?

Nope no other information, the "instruction" booklet could hardly be more useless, theres not point me copying out paragraphs telling me to "insert disc"

thanks you Elvandil, i will try that, and i have found some other drivers from someone who has the same webcam, who has got it working, i will check back with the results later!

It seems to be the case that the software that comes with most devices is old and buggy. They are in such a hurry to get the thing out the door, that by the time it arrives at the door, a new driver has been released. So I habitually look for new ones and never use those that came with the device.

Sometimes the CD's have some other great programs, however.

It was probably the driver problem that made this such a good deal, but where there's a will....

yeah, i agree, thats proberly why it was so cheap!

well, the drivers i found didn't work

as for the Sonnix website, i can't see how to download the file, it comes up with a search engine from their website, and the file isn't listed there
