I have not used my webcam for a long long time and the other day decided to take a pic with it of my handsome countenance. However when I opened the webcam up it appeared to be out of focus and I could not find anyway to improve the focus.

    Can anyone please help me?

    Phil

Have you tried cleaning it with a soft cloth. Maybe it may have a fingerprint or other foreign object blocking the camera (grease, food, etc left from your fingertip or someone else).

The problem is not fixed. I did try to clean the lens hoping that would fix before I posted here.

    Sorry if I confused you

Here is the support for your webcam.

If you are unable to fix the focus on the camera, then I would just suggest you to buy a new webcam.

are you using a supported version of Windows?

Also go through the settings: bmp or jpeg. Try both and see if one is better than the other.
Look at the resolution. Try different ones to see if that alters things from blurrier to sharper.
Attempt to zoom in and out to see if that helps or hinders.
