webcam viewer

    does anyone know of a good webcam viewer (so i can see what my webcam sees on my screen) that doesn't use 85% of my cpu?

    what is are you on.... if you run XP you can just use my computer.
    look under the scanner and camera section.

    that is alot better but i am still using 70% of my cpu.. i have a 1.2 intel celeron and 512 mb ram. a 60 gig HD and a 40 gig HD. i think it should be runnin better right?

    hmm, i have exactly the same cam and a similar pc..... when i run mine it uses about 27% cpu. Are you sure there are no processes running in the background that could be using up all that 70% cpu.???

    well i used task manger and nothing is jumping out at me cept Explorer and of course svchost

    if so... go to the task manager and look at the processes tab... here under the cpu coloumn, you will find what is taking the most cpu ( this is a percent of what is being used)
    tell me what is taking the most...
