webcam

Why cant I download my Logitech Pro300 webcam cd, bought when I had Win98. I now have WinXP.Home. Cam works, but nowt else. I also want to use my Sony Hi8/DVD cam. It works with Pinnacle, and other movie makers, but cant use as a webcam :(

the only download i could find was a logitectec 3000

it is possible they have "end of lifed " your product. Which might not be a bad thing. If you have a new PC that has usb ver2 and you get a new web cam that is ver2, it will be way way way faster then your old web cam.

as far as the vid cam as a web cam, it should work through your capture device, more details about program, connection ( svideo, composit...etc)

thanks, I downloaded the 1st option, it works.
with regard to using my hi8/dvd cam, I use firewire(ieee 1394). I've tried composite, and other means, non seem to work. I've had this Hi8/DVD camera for about 6 years, so perhaps I ought to change it!!
