I don't think you will find websites visited in the registry. They are stored in the History folder.
You can find addresses that you typed into the address bar though at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURL

I believe you're thinking of the "hosts" file. It's not in the registry. It's in Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Your hosts file may have become corrupted or overwritten by malware.

Please let me know how to access
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Hotmail.com
Start, Run, type:regedit Click OK
Click the + next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Click the + next to Software
Click the + next to Microsoft
Click the + next to Internet Explorer
Look for Hotmail.com under Internet Explorer in the left pane.
Click on the Hotmail.com folder in the left pane
Any data will show on the right.

Careful what you delete. No recycle Bin here. Make backups first.

What is being looked for is suppsed to be in the registry and from what I read the member does not have the skills to go in a edit the registry.

The History can be found in control panel - Internet Options under the general tab.
