Hey guys!

So I have uploaded the video here cause I couldnt find a way to upload it in the website.

As you can see in the upper video my monitor seems to have some kind of weird color adjustment after is turned off for long period of time. This used to occur to me If I left home and turned it on after weeks or months, but now it occurs in a daily basis. As you can see it appears to occur without the PC on so my conclussion is that its just a monitor deflect.

The monitor is about 2 years old, its a 32" Inches 1440p 144Hz samsung bought for about 500€. I heard that this monitor has some dead pixel problems but i dont know if this is related to that. Now if I leave the screen for 5-10 mins it appears to readjust fine (or if I turn it off and on once or twice)after that I can let it be for prolonged amounts of time and it stays consinstent (no problems whatsoever), but this past month almost every time I turn it on this problem occurs. My fear is that it might get worse. This monitor also has an HDR option which I use lately whilst playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider (if that has anything to do with it).

Thats pretty much it folks, I would appreciate if anyone had some good piece of advice a ton!

Thank you people, keep safe!

Hi and welcome to TSG

It does seem like the monitor is the problem, especially as you have the colours on the right of the screen before you even turn the PC on, but lets do some checks.

Double check all your cables and connections are good and secure.
Do you have another HDMI/DP cable to test with?
Can you try using a different PC out put and/or monitor input?
Do you have any other monitor or TV you can test on?

Does the problem persist through these checks?

Hey man! I really appreciate the reply.

So I have changed 3 different HDMI/DPI cables but this still occurs.
I dont have another PC atm neither a monitor, but what I did from another'ssuggestion was to take a screenshot once the PC was booted and it turn out the screenshot was clear and bright like a sunny day.
Which I guess it means that this is surely a monitor problem.
But like I said if I turn it on and off a couple of times or a simply let it be for some mins it return to normal so its not like its messed up for good...

What do you think? Should a refund/replacement be an added idea?

THanks a lot in advance!

I deleted your links as Reddit deleted your video as spam. You could try using a .zip file to upload it here or just post a screenshot. Also, I've edited your post no. 3 for language. This has earned you an "warn" on your profile with the loss of 1 point. Please be more careful as this is a family friendly website.
