Weird connection problems

    Here I am back since you guys saved my neck in January of last year...

    I have my old trusty E-machine, older but still working. In the last week or so, it has been signing on (dial-up) but then not letting my ISP connect. It will tell me (whether the 'it' is Mozilla which is my normal internet browser, or in desperation, IE, or Outlook Express) that it can't connect or can't find the site... sometimes it suggests that I, a champion speller, might have misspelled the name of the site, including, of course, google.com. Outlook simply says that my email addresses failed to connect... :D

    It is ninety something degrees in the shade here and so my patience is wearing thin... today I remembered that last year you guys told me to use Hijack this, so I did, and have a log, but of course, I have no clue WHAT it means... It might as well be sankrit...
    I am still using the AVG free virus program you guys recommended, and bought a program called "No Adware" which may or may not be helping... If anyone can help, I promise you a flan or tiramisu...
