    Hey guys,
So i plug my HDMI cable into a tv in my room everything works fine, i then plug it into the lounge room tv (has worked on this tv before) but now the tv only shows my desktop background with no icons or when i click to watch a movie my desktop background stays the same on the tv but it now has sound, and on my laptop it shows everything working fine.
I don't know if anyone can help, ive looked almost everywhere on the line but I'm not the best with this stuff.
Cheers for the help in advance

Solved by going to control panel, then top right click on "view by" make into small icons. click on "display" then click change display settings. You will see a box marked as "multiple displays" change that setting to mirror/duplicate.

right click on the desktop / screen resolution / "multiple displays" box choose "duplicate these displays"

It was obviously previously configured as "extend these displays". IE: one big desktop, not the same desktop on all screens
