Whenever I go to install a program, any program, it says such and such file doesnt match setup.cab file, the medium from which you are installing. blah blah blah. My question is this, what does this mean, and how do i fix it. If i click retry the setup will continue only to do it on another file. It does it on any program, new and old. Any advise or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I think this 'blah blah blah' might contain useful information for anyone who'd like to understand the situation. Could you qoute an error message?

I wrote that message from memory, the message reads:
File skeletal_data_001.tre does not match the file in setup's .cab file, the medium from which you are installing, it might be corrupt. If the problem persists please contact an administrator.

It does this with about half dozen files, and I know it is not corrupt because it works on a different computer.
