This makes no sense, but here's what happens: With the Logitech USB wireless receiver plugged into a usb slot at the front of my PC the keyboard and mouse work perfectly. If I plug a USB backup drive into one of the other usb slots at the front of the PC (next to the Logitech dongle), the mouse stops working, and sometimes the keyboard.

Any ideas as to why? TIA

So if this is a desktop, plug the Logitec USB into a back side USB port.
