I Have a really weird problem with my internet.
This may sound very strange but, when i click on a given link lets say something like this: http://google.co.uk the programe that i open it in seems to crash or freeze for a bit, it normally freezes and then comes back to normal but it does not bring up the page after it being frozen.

So lets say someone sends me a link in MSN Messenger, i open it and then the whole computer freezes. same thing on websites. Which is very bad.

    Can anyone help me??

Also forgot to add when i go to start/search/files or folders
that freezes as well when i try and click on it. but then everything comes back to normal after a 1 min but it still doesn't bring up the actual search thing for me!

You may have something running that is causing this to happen. MSCONFIG is good to find app that are running but services in your administrative tools is the best way to see whatÂ’s happening on your computer. Check out Black Vipers sit for XP Services to find out a little more about it.

To copy the URL a link points to, right click on the link and choose "Copy shortcut." You can then paste the URL into the address bar. It's a lot handier than highlighting and copying even when the entire address is displayed as a link.

That said, Have you scanned for spyware? If not, download, install, immediately update and then run Spybot and/or AdAware (you can use them both.) Let whichever one you choose clean up any spyware it finds.

If the problem persists, then get CWShredder and run it (link to the download is near the bottom of the page).
