    Hi everyoone,
I just re-installed Win XP Pro on a nice new Western Digital HD. I am having trouble since downloading service pack 1. In control panel under "USER ACCOUNTS" the welcome screen/fast user switching has been disabled and I get the following error message:

"a recently installed program has disabled the welcome screen and fast user switching. To restore these features you must uninstall the program. The following file name might help you identify the program that made the change: MSGina.dll"

I did a search and found the file in the service pack 1 in a folder called i386. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks very much Robby

    Run this edit:

Restore the Windows XP Welcome Screen (Gina.dll)
    http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts/fix_xp_logon.vbs

    Or go to:

    Start/Run/Regedit
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\WinLogon.
In the right pane, remove the entry for logonrem.DLL.

Thanks for the help.... I looked in REGEDIT fo the string you said to look for and delete but I did not find it. But the other fix worked great. Again, many thanks:)
