About a year ago I had this same problem but can't seem to find it in my post threads. So I thought I would ask again. Ok the problem I am having is, I play alot of pogo poppit, and right in the middle of the game, I have started getting these pop ups of porno sights. Geesh I have all these programs thats not suppose to let that trash through, and it has gotten back in to my computer.I have win 98 SE IE 6.0 and have , spy guard, Highjack, ad-aware, and ZoneAlarm. This could get a little embarassing since I have my computer on 99% of the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, last night I deleted all my cookies and temporary filers, and ran those programs about also.

First go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall New.Net.

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all browser windows and "Fix checked"

These next ones should be gone after uninstalling New.Net

Restart to Safe Mode: press f8 on startup and select Safe Mode from the boot menu.

    In Safe Mode delete:

    The C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH folder

I don't see how you still have New.Net if you have run scans with an updated Spybot and are keeping Spywareguard updated.

Nice catch there TB. I was so caught up in the fact that she still had New.Net while running all those Anti-Spyware programs that I completely missed this one:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [yahoo_toolbar ml973e] "c:\program files\yahoo_toolbar\yahoo_toolbar.exe"

This one still needs to go:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [yahoo_toolbar ml973e] "c:\program files\yahoo_toolbar\yahoo_toolbar.exe"

I missed it the first time as Top Banana pointed out.

This one you can have HJT fix as the file is missing anyway:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\ADOBE\ACROBAT 6.0\READER\ACTIVEX\ACROIEHELPER.DLL (file missing)

You may have to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat reader so you can view PDF files in IE.

Ok, I got rid of those programs now, I need to delete acrobat reader. I feel really stupid for asking this, but how do I reinstall it, or from where?
