Ok ive got a xp pro machine, wired to a belkin wireless router, conected to a cable braodband modem. A tecra 8000 laptop wwith the belkin pcmcia card.
Now, with WEP turned off everything is fine wirless download speeds are fine etc. As soon as i turn wep encryption on (64 or 128, auto or manual key gen) the laptop cant acces the router. In the site survey it can see teh wireless connection and see that itws encrypted. But everytime i put the encryption key in to pcmcia control program, it hangs for a sec then says the point i am trying toaccess doesnt exist.

When i istalled everything i let the install CD's do all the work so i havent tweaked anything. SOme research have done has suggested its my MTU....i really have no idea what this is let alone how to change it!!!

i am really quite new to all this, so any help is much appreciated.

Also one other point i thought you could only swap files between computers by putting the router and pc's into adhoc mode..from reading your forums it would appear this is no the case?
    Cheers
    Nick
