What is whagent and how does it impact the running of the computer? What can be done to insure that it is not downloaded without your permission? I think it is part of the AudioGalaxy download. It hung about the use of my browser and caused all sorts of problems and annoyances, not to mention the big bucks it cost me to have a computer consultant figure out what the problem was.

Well, short of blocking all downloads to your PC....nothing! I think you can set your browser to not allow any downloads or get some third party software to block things from coming in. The ultimate responsibility is yours. There is a program called AdAware that will alert you to any spyware like this running on your PC....

Thanks for the info, Rockn and Paul. I will look into the spyware problem. I seemed to be doing fine until I installed AOL7.0 and then the browser was freezing in Windows. Thanks again for your response. Barbara
