What computer should i choose????

    my computer is pretty old, it has 3 years and i want to buy a new one but i don't know what computer to choose. i heard about some new stuff like: ddr2, pci express... i want a computer that i can play the sims 2 pretty fast, but less than 1000 dollars. can someone help me... :(
    i don't speak too much english.... :D

    Take a look at this article about building a $1000 gaming machine.

    Many people here will advocate building the computer yourself because it: cuts costs, you control what goes into the computer and you have bragging rights to say you built it. The downside is that you are your own tech support.

    Also, I'm to going to ask that this be moved to Hardware because there will be more people there to help you.
