i regularly update my PC (windows xp) like everyone else, and i have not do any custom setting to it. The problem i found out is that i can not install some of my Japanese games. my PC just can not read them, but i did successfully install and play those games before.

i got an error message like this:
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/rx78gp03-question2.JPG

i want to mention i already installed the "files for East Asian lanugages". some of my JP games work fine but some don't.

Do you have the proper language packs on your computer ?

its very possible that your pc doesnt have the Japanese language pack and therefore cannot understand the game.

thanks Akmorph, for answering my question, alot of people already ask me the same qusetion, did i install the proper language package? the answer is yes!! i did!!
*right now, i'm playing YS origin JP version is a good example! and i'm also playing a japanese game called "memories off" (jp windows version).

but some how, in some games, i can't install them, and they all result in like this:

things look fine at first...

then, boom!!!
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/rx78gp03-question2.JPG

i'm thinking is it because the update i did for my windows:
1) mircosoft .net framework 2.0
2) windows installer 3.1 (kb893803)
either one or both of them messing up my PC, so that i can't install JP games.

need help.
