IMG_0997.PNG IMG_0998.PNG I'm sorry if I'm uploading this on the wrong forum. My laptop randomly shut down yesterday. I don't visit unsafe sites and I use virus protection. When I tried to power it on it flashed these screens for maybe a second, and then it went black. It's black, but it's still backlit. I hooked it up to my tv to see if I could see the display on there, but I couldn't. I honestly have no idea what's wrong. All my stuff is saved on an external hard drive as well, so it's fine if it's not salvageable. It's just that the laptop is only 5ish years old. Any ideas?

That's usually an indication that the graphics card or maybe the RAM has failed. Have you tried leaving it off for an hour and see if it works properly? If it does or even does for a while before failing again then maybe the graphics card is just overheating. You can also try removing both sticks or RAM from the laptop and then inserting only one at a time and see if it works.

"Only 5 years"....that's actually kinda old for a computer.
