what file opens this kind of association 'DAT'

    there is this file that i somehow deleted connected to opening 'DAT' files. The file is named "Apogee.bat" this is needed to open files of 'DAT' type. What else i can open 'DAT' files with?
    thnx to any help.

    Hiya iamstuck (Nice name,,, I know the feeling! :) )
    Find the file Apogee.bat and right click on it. Then choose "open with" then choose notepad. (Thats if ya just wanna see the file text.) Notepad usually opens .DAT files on my PC. On the otherhand MSDOS usually runs .bat files.
    Hope that helps some. :)

    Dat is Data File. Any program such as word, notepad, wordpad will open it.

    thnx i thought i needed to download a big file to open 'DAT' files.
    i'll try it know.
